Brouet left over four hundred prints. He was influenced by Rembrandt, whose etching technique he drew heavily on. He drew his subjects from working-class environments, notably the village of Montmartre with its prostitutes, dancers, circuses, modest interiors, etc.
Description: the artist presents the quays of the Seine in Paris in its modern setting, with barges and a tugboat passing under the Pont Neuf. On the right, in the foreground, a café with its first customers.
Condition: good condition - folds in top right corner and left corner.
