MALRAUX (André) — Goya - Lot 199
MALRAUX (André) — Goya Paris, NRF / Gallimard, n.d. In-4 volume, in the publisher’s full beige cloth binding, with the title “Malraux Goya” printed on the front cover and spine. A major study by André Malraux devoted to Francisco de Goya (1746–1828), lavishly illustrated with black-and-white and color reproductions, some of which are full-page. The book examines the Spanish master’s paintings, portraits, and graphic works, notably *The Sleep of Reason*, the court portraits, and the somber works of his late period. Cloth binding showing dust, foxing, and soiling, more pronounced at the margins and on the spine; interior appears well-preserved.
