An issue of the renowned German journal *Deutsche Kunst und Dekoration*, a leading publication devoted to the decorative arts, architecture, furniture, painting, and sculpture at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Richly illustrated with photographs and reproductions. This issue notably includes a study by Wilhelm Uhde on Henri Rousseau, illustrated with a reproduction of his *Urwald-Landschaft*, as well as articles on contemporary German sculpture, particularly Richard Langer. Period advertisements and graphic materials preserved. The journal, founded and published by Alexander Koch in Darmstadt, constitutes an important documentary source on the evolution of taste, interior design, and the German decorative arts around 1900–1920. Cover is browned and worn, with rubbed edges and corners, small tears, and marginal losses; interior is in generally good condition.
