Catalog of the 54th exhibition of the Louvre Museum’s Department of Drawings, held from October 25, 1973, to January 7, 1974, devoted to French drawings from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. A comprehensive overview of French drawing from the 19th and early 20th centuries, bringing together works from one of the major American collections. The catalog notably features works by Prud’hon, Géricault, Ingres, Delacroix, Guys, and artists up to Picasso. Numerous full-page black-and-white reproductions, including Prud’hon’s *Seated Nude Woman*, Constantin Guys’ *Standing Woman*, and *Napoleon III’s Visit to Boulogne-sur-Mer* by the same artist. The cover is scuffed and marked, with creases and a large circular stain on the back cover; the interior is slightly yellowed but in good overall condition.
