DEMANOEL DE LA GRAVIÈRE (Pierre) - Lot 96
DEMANOEL DE LA GRAVIÈRE (Pierre) Passport issued to Charles Oudiette, engineer and geographer. Brussels, February 20, 1792. Passport printed on paper, completed in pen, issued by Pierre Demanoel de La Gravière, “Resident of France to the General Government of the Austrian Netherlands.” The document authorizes the passage of Charles Oudiette, described as a surveyor, aged 41, with a physical description provided, traveling to Paris and other cities in the Kingdom. Passport valid for six weeks, bearing the handwritten signatures of the resident and the holder. An interesting document from the very end of the constitutional monarchy, just a few months before the fall of Louis XVI. Blank reverse side with an old handwritten price notation. Old creases, small tears, and marginal wear; generally legible.
