AN IMPORTANT ANTHOLOGY OF THE GREAT MASTERS OF 20TH-CENTURY PHOTOGRAPHY, compiled by L. Fritz Gruber, a leading figure in the promotion of photography in Germany. The volume notably features works by Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Steichen, Man Ray, Eugène Atget, Ansel Adams, Erich Salomon, and others. It is associated with the exhibition organized by Gruber at Photokina in Cologne; Sotheby’s notes that the picture book resulting from this event was published in 1964. Condition: a fine copy. The binding and slipcase show some scuffing and signs of wear; the interior is well preserved.
