Quarto, paperback, with original illustrated dust jacket in cream, black, and red depicting birds of prey at their nest. The volume is lavishly illustrated with black-and-white photographs, accompanied by captions written by E. Bourdelle and L. Roule, professors at the National Museum of Natural History. A photographic publication devoted to the animal world: birds of prey, other birds, mammals, and exotic animals are depicted in large, typically full-page photographic spreads. This copy retains its attractive original illustrated dust jacket.
