Your copy is indeed a 2004 edition, identifiable by its own ISBN, and not the 2003 Taschen edition (ISBN 3-8228-1612-4). Bibliographic databases confirm this 2004 edition. A good introductory monograph on Robert Doisneau (1912–1994), written by Jean-Claude Gautrand. The book spans his entire career and brings together his iconic images of Paris and its suburbs: street children, scenes of everyday life, cafés, celebrations, lovers, and people captured in their daily lives. The photographs featured in your copy—*Little Children with Milk*, Gentilly, 1932; *The Brothers*, Paris, 1934; *The Kiss at City Hall*, Paris, 1950; *Hell*, Boulevard de Clichy, 1952 — illustrate this style particularly well.
