As art director of *Harper’s Bazaar*, Brodovitch played a decisive role in revolutionizing the layout and photography of fashion. The book reproduces numerous historic layouts, double-page spreads, and covers from *Harper’s Bazaar* and documents his collaborations with some of the greatest photographers of the 20th century. Notably featured are works by or references to Richard Avedon, Bill Brandt, Brassaï, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau, Robert Frank, Lisette Model, and Irving Penn. Condition: well-used copy. The cover is heavily scuffed and scratched, with significant wear and a laminate that is peeling at the edges, corners, and spine; the interior, however, appears to be in good condition.
