MOROCCO - French Protectorate. Draa Valley. 4 f 50 postage stamp, blue-green, depicting a view of the Drâa Valley and its kasbahs. Designed by Jean Hainaut, engraved by Henri Cheffer. Issued in 1939 as part of the “Landscapes and Sites of Morocco” series. Canceled specimen. Specialized literature confirms the 1939 issue and the Hainaut/Cheffer attribution for this denomination. Condition: fairly heavy cancellation in the upper portion; perforation generally good; paper slightly yellowed with small marginal foxing spots.
