MOROCCO - French Protectorate. Rabat, Kasbah of the Oudaïas. Vertical pair of 65 c reddish-brown stamps depicting the Kasbah of the Oudaïas in Rabat; the upper stamp bears a black overprint “35 c” with bars canceling the original value. The lower stamp retains its face value of 65 c. Set, canceled. This item is more interesting from a philatelic standpoint than the previous individual stamps, precisely because the two values remain adjacent: the overprint and the original value in the same pair. I would definitely keep it as is. Condition: postmarks crossing both stamps; small trace of blue ink on the lower stamp; peripheral perforation intact; intermediate perforation preserved.
