FRANCE — Auguste Pavie — 4.50 F — vertical pair A very nice vertical pair of the 4.50 F stamp dedicated to Auguste Pavie (1847–1925), a French pioneer in Laos, engraved by Ouvré. The joined pair is clearly preferable to two separate copies and holds thematic interest related to “Indochina / French exploration.” Condition: heavy cancellation but complete set; a few worn perforations.
