A beautiful edition illustrated with numerous woodcuts by Henri Barthélemy, including a two-tone frontispiece, headers, vignettes, end-of-page illustrations, and initials printed in red and black. It is the 18th volume in the “Les Beaux Livres” collection published by Mornay. Printed in a run of 1,078 numbered copies, including one unique copy on antique Japanese paper, 38 on Imperial Japanese paper, 11 on Chinese paper reserved for the Société des Médecins Bibliophiles, 8 on Dutch paper, 942 on Rives paper, and 78 non-commercial copies. One of the 942 copies on Rives paper, no. 182. Copy preserved in its attractive publisher’s binding, in good overall condition. Very slight rubbing and minor signs of wear on the cover; interior is fresh.
