In-12, paperback, cover printed in black and red, spine bearing the title and the notation “Papier Hollande,” untrimmed. First edition of this adventure novel by Dr. Lucien-Graux (1878–1944). Very rare limited first edition of 58 copies: 3 on Japanese paper from the Imperial Manufactory, 30 on Holland paper numbered 4 through 33, and 25 on jonquil paper reserved for the Friends of Dr. Lucien-Graux. One of the 30 copies on Holland paper; this is No. 5, the second copy on Holland paper, following only the 3 copies on Japanese paper. The copy remains unbound in its original presentation. The cover is slightly faded, with minor wear and marginal tears, particularly on the headbands and edges; the interior is in satisfactory condition. A very fine copy on high-quality paper, particularly desirable due to its very low number.
