LOUŸS (Pierre). *Psyche*. Paris: Union Latine d'Éditions, 1934. In-8, 190 pp., with an afterword by Claude Farrère. Illustrations by Mariette Lydis, reproduced in facsimile by Daniel Jacomet: illustrations within the text and as inserts, in black and in color. One of 5,000 numbered copies on chiffon vellum, this one being No. 730. The edition of Pierre Louÿs’s *Romans et Nouvelles*, illustrated by Mariette Lydis, had a print run of 5,160 copies, including 5,000 on chiffon vellum. Beautiful green-gray half-shagreen binding with corner pieces, four-ribbed spine, author’s name and title in gold, covers adorned with marbled paper in the same tones, gilt headband. A fine copy, with a decorative and well-preserved binding; a few slight signs of wear and scattered small foxing spots. Spine faded. This edition of *Psyché* is part of the elegant series of works by Pierre Louÿs illustrated by Mariette Lydis, published by the Union Latine in 1934.
