Quarto, paperback, padded cover, cardboard slipcase covered in marbled paper with a red title label on the spine, matching slipcase. First volume edition of this comedy by Sacha Guitry, previously staged in the theater and then published in *La Petite Illustration* in 1928. Limited edition of 1,250 numbered copies: * 50 copies on antique Japanese paper, nos. 1–50; * 200 copies on Rives vellum, nos. 51–250; * 1,000 copies on tinted laid paper, nos. 251–1,250. Copy on tinted laid paper, the third paper type in the print run. Printed on October 15, 1930, on the presses of master printer Coulouma in Argenteuil. A beautiful letterpress print in black and red, adorned with decorative compositions and headbands. Copy preserved in its publisher’s slipcase and cover. A few scattered foxing spots, sometimes quite pronounced, mainly on certain leaves; nevertheless, the book is well preserved overall.
