A lovely illustrated edition of Paul Géraldy’s famous collection of love poems, adorned with numerous color illustrations by Charles Guérin, delicately printed within the text. The edition comprises 173 pages. Copy No. 235, one of 3,200 copies printed on laid paper by the Papeteries du Marais, numbered from 101 to 3,300. The print run also includes 100 special edition copies on Holland paper, numbered from 1 to 100, accompanied by a color set and a black-and-white set of the illustrations. The copy is preserved in its original publisher’s presentation, with its illustrated cover and slipcase. The slipcase and dust jacket are quite heavily browned and worn, with some foxing, soiling, and signs of use; the spine of the dust jacket is rubbed with small superficial losses. The book’s cover itself is browned, mainly on the front and back covers and the spine, with a few small foxing spots. Nevertheless, the set is complete and in fair condition. This edition is well-documented among Piazza’s modern illustrated books.
