FLAUBERT (Gustave). — *Salammbô*. Paris, Imprimerie Nationale, [early 20th century]. In-8, full marbled calfskin, ribbed spine decorated with embossed panels, title labels in black morocco leather, blind-stamped borders on the covers. This edition of *Salammbô* is part of the *Complete Works of Gustave Flaubert* published by the Imprimerie Nationale, printed pursuant to an authorization from the Minister of Justice dated January 30, 1902. The text conforms to that of the last edition corrected by Flaubert (Lemerre, Paris, 1879), with variations based on the original edition published by Michel Lévy in 1863. Introduction and index by Léon Abrami. The edition includes a limited run of 50 numbered copies on China paper; this copy belongs to the regular print run. A fine copy in a decorative marbled calfskin binding. Some scuffing and signs of wear on the binding; a few foxing spots and scattered small marks inside.
