A beautiful edition illustrated by Berthold Mahn, featuring 36 drawings and drypoint engravings, including a frontispiece and 8 separate plates. This is the first print run of the 9 drypoint engravings. Limited edition of 1,150 copies: 10 on Marais vellum with a set of engravings, 30 on Marais vellum, 60 on Dutch laid paper, and 1,050 on Rives vellum. One of the 1,050 copies on Rives paper, no. 798. Copy preserved in its original binding, in good overall condition; cover and spine slightly browned, with minor signs of wear.
