PORTUGAL — Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception — 300th Anniversary, 1946 — 1.75 escudo 1946. Commemorative stamp marking the 300th anniversary of the proclamation of Our Lady of the Conception as the patroness of Portugal (1646–1946). Face value 1$75, blue, depicting the crowned Virgin Mary holding the Infant Jesus, accompanied by the coat of arms of Portugal. Inscriptions: “III CENTENARIO DA PROCLAMAÇÃO DA PADROEIRA.” Used, perforated. Fairly heavy vertical postmark crossing the design; a few short perforations and signs of wear.
