FRANCE — "Paix" 2 F + Pétain 1 F — Perforated fragment A mixed postage combination featuring a 2 F "Paix" stamp and a 1 F "Maréchal Pétain" stamp, both red. Both stamps bear a control cancellation/perforation consisting of numerous small holes, in addition to the postal cancellation. The Pétain stamp is positioned upside-down relative to the 2 F stamp. These perforations constitute a flaw for collectors of standard stamps, but indicate administrative or commercial use that may be of interest on a fragment.
