FRANCE — Marshal Pétain — Three copies of the red 1 franc stamp on a fragment French issue. Envelope fragment bearing three red 1-franc stamps featuring Marshal Pétain, engraved in profile, with the inscriptions “POSTES FRANÇAISES” and “1 F.” Designed by Jean Bersier, engraved by Georges Hourriez. The three stamps are arranged vertically and are jointly canceled by a mechanical cancel with wavy lines. Some stains and signs of wear, particularly on the center stamp.
