A beautiful volume devoted to the myths and traditions of Polynesia, Micronesia, Melanesia, and Australia, richly illustrated with sculptures, bark paintings, ritual objects, and ethnographic documents. The original English edition contains over a hundred illustrations; institutional bibliographies list 141 pages and note the color illustrations as well as the illustrated endpapers. A fine copy. Dust jacket intact, with some rubbing, small marks, and wear on the top and bottom edges and corners; interior fresh.
