A very fine vintage collection of *Le Journal Spirou*, corresponding to issue No. 73, part of the classic series of Dupuis hardcover albums from the golden age of Franquin. The cover, which is particularly spectacular, depicts a rocket in the midst of takeoff, in a dynamic composition featuring Spirou, Fantasio, and the Count of Champignac in the foreground. This artwork, strongly influenced by the series’ scientific and adventurous aesthetic, is among the most sought-after covers from the late 1950s.
