MINISTRY OF FINANCE — Directorate of Registered Debt Office of Pensions from General Funds Administrative letter regarding the payment of a military pension, partially printed document with handwritten additions, Paris, March 16, 1849. 1 folio page. A very interesting administrative document addressed to: Mr. Vert, artillery captain, residing in Ornans (Doubs). The document informs the recipient that, following his request, arrangements have been made so that the Treasury paymaster in Besançon will henceforth pay the arrears of his pension, which were previously disbursed in the Jura department. A fine example of a career and pension record for a former artillery officer, of particular interest when preserved alongside his 1821 Legion of Honor certificate. Very fine letterhead of the Ministry of Finance, with the handwritten signature of the head of the pensions office. Normal creases and wrinkles from handling; in good overall condition.
