Revenue stamp. Document relating to a geographical publication An interesting document in which Victor-Adolphe Malte-Brun releases his publisher from his obligations under a publishing agreement. He states: “Since Mr. Alphonse Taride […] has assigned and transferred […] the contract […] regarding the publication of *France géographique, historique et administrative* […] I hereby release […] from all his obligations… ” This publication, known today as *France illustrée*, constitutes a major 19th-century editorial project in descriptive geography.
