LOBEY (Henri). French magistrate, prosecutor. Autograph letter signed “Henri Lobey,” addressed to a friend. [Paris, 98 Boulevard Pereire], December 30, 1927. 1 page, folio size, in blue ink, on letterhead printed “98, Boulevard Pereire.” A warm letter of congratulations, written in a particularly enthusiastic tone: “My heartfelt, joyful, and enthusiastic congratulations to the eminent magistrate and my dearest friend. This is wonderful news that will delight the entire Palace! And the City!” This note, both personal and institutional, reflects the social customs within the judicial world of the interwar period.
