LOBEY (Henri). - Lot 190
LOBEY (Henri). French magistrate, prosecutor. Autograph letter signed “Henri Lobey,” addressed to a friend. [Paris, 98 Boulevard Pereire], October 15, 1928. 1 page, in-4 format, blue ink, on letterhead printed “98, boulevard Pereire.” A charming handwritten letter of congratulations: “My warmest congratulations on your brilliant reelection and my most affectionate regards.” Written in a tone that is both formal and cordial, this short letter reflects the conventions of letter-writing in judicial and political circles during the interwar period. The handwriting, broad and confident, occupies the upper portion of the sheet, leaving a wide margin characteristic of such congratulatory notes. Cross-folds, slight marginal wear; otherwise in good condition.
