EICHTHAL (Gustave d'). (1804–1886) Journalist, Orientalist, and Saint-Simonian thinker; an active member of Parisian intellectual and scholarly circles. Autograph letter signed “G. d’Eichthal” July 17, 1841. 1 page, in-8. Letter regarding a publication Eichthal discusses the preparation of a pamphlet currently being printed and the involvement of the publisher Arthus Bertrand: “I took the liberty of having Mr. Arthus Bertrand’s address included on a pamphlet (…) that I am about to publish… ” He specifies the distribution arrangements: “…about twenty copies will be brought to him from Dondey-Dupré…” and hopes for international distribution: “I would like Mr. Bertrand to be able to send some of these pamphlets abroad.”
