Official letter regarding the Normandy Geographical Society Letter addressed to Gabriel Gravier, president of the Normandy Geographical Society.
The Paris Geographical Society acknowledges receipt of the formation of the Normandy Society’s executive board and expresses its best wishes for success: “…warmest welcome, best wishes, and success to the Normandy Geographical Society…”
It also proposes an exchange of publications between the two institutions, reflecting the practices of scholarly dissemination in the 19th century: “…it will be pleased to exchange its publications…” ”
The document highlights the correspondent’s active role in the creation of this new group: “…we thank you for the active part you played in the establishment of this new French geographical group. ”
