Numerous black-and-white reproductions. A monograph from the renowned Aperture Masters of Photography series, dedicated to Weegee (Arthur Fellig, 1899–1968), a major figure in American photography. The book traces his career and presents a representative selection of his most iconic images: crime scenes, fires, news events, New York nightlife, portraits, and street snapshots, which have profoundly shaped the history of 20th-century photojournalism. Published in collaboration with the Aperture Foundation, this volume offers an excellent overview of the photographer’s work, accompanied by an introductory essay and high-quality illustrations.
