Large folio-sized leaflet (approx. 60 × 80 cm when unfolded), printed on both sides, illustrated with numerous black-and-white photographic reproductions. A rare poster-leaflet produced for the first major French exhibition dedicated to Paul Strand (1890–1976), held at the National Museum of Modern Art. This promotional document, designed to be unfolded into a large illustrated sheet, features a critical essay by Jean-Claude Lemagny, an introduction by Pontus Hulten, and a substantial collection of reproductions covering the major periods of Strand’s work: portraits, landscapes, architecture, still lifes, and rural scenes taken in the United States, Europe, Mexico, and Africa. With its spectacular format and rich iconography, this publication stands as a remarkable testament to the major photography exhibitions organized by the Centre Pompidou in the early 1970s. Much more fragile than the exhibition catalog, it has become rare to find in good condition. Condition: complete copy. Paper uniformly yellowed with marginal foxing, signs of handling and old price tags on the cover, original creases, and a few marks along the fold lines of the leaflet.
