French edition of this important monograph dedicated to Lee Miller (1907–1977), model, photographer, war correspondent, and major figure of Surrealism. A photography historian and former curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Mark Haworth-Booth traces her entire career, from her early days as a model in New York and her collaboration with Man Ray to her personal photographic work, her reporting on World War II, and her famous images of the liberation of the concentration camps.
The book is illustrated with numerous reproductions of photographs, portraits, archival documents, surrealist works, and photo essays, making it one of the best overviews of Lee Miller published in French.
Condition: copy in fair condition. Hardcover showing some scuffing and slight signs of wear on the front cover. Back cover heavily damaged with significant tears and dents in the laminated film. A few very slight signs of handling along the margins of the first few pages; interior remains clean and fresh.
