First edition of the prestigious catalog of the World Photography Exhibition, held in Lucerne in 1952, one of the most ambitious international events dedicated to the medium of photography in the postwar era. Under the theme “What Is Man? ,” the exhibition brought together 555 photographs by 264 photographers from 30 countries, offering an exceptional overview of global photographic creation, from the great humanist masters to representatives of documentary, artistic, and experimental photography.
