A charming monograph dedicated to the Paris of Édouard Boubat, one of the greatest exponents of humanist photography. Through nearly a hundred photographs taken between the 1940s and 1980s, the author celebrates a tender and timeless Paris—the Paris of the banks of the Seine, gardens, cafés, lovers, children, and street scenes. The images are accompanied by a text by Boubat in which the photographer evokes his city with his own unique poetic voice. This copy is enhanced by an autograph dedication signed by Édouard Boubat on the half-title page: “For Marie-Antoinette—Happy Birthday with Paris—July 30, 93—Boubat.” Condition: very good copy.
