The book brings together a particularly representative selection of major artists, including Robert Demachy, Germaine Krull, Raoul Hausmann, Man Ray, André Kertész, Pierre Boucher, Willy Ronis, Florence Henri, Pierre Mercier, Toto Frima, Fontana, Puyo, Perdrix, and Vulliez. The collection offers a journey from Pictorialism to the avant-garde, then to humanist and contemporary photography, illustrating the multiple approaches to the body, the nude, the portrait, and the construction of the photographic image.
