ROUSSIN (André). - Lot 277
ROUSSIN (André). Autographed card signed to a correspondent. Boulogne-sur-Seine, October 12, 1965. Autograph signed card, 2 pages in-12 oblong on printed letterhead “7, rue Gutenberg - Boulogne-sur-Seine,” dated October 12, 1965, accompanied by a typewritten transcription. André Roussin (1911–1987), a French playwright, screenwriter, and member of the Académie française, was the author of numerous successful comedies, including *La Petite Hutte*, *Lorsque l’enfant paraît*, *Bobosse*, and *La Mamma*. Elected to the Académie française in 1973, he was one of the leading figures of postwar French theater. An interesting autographed postcard addressed to a friend, thanking him for an article “full of sympathy and understanding.” Roussin mentions an interview he gave to Pierre Desgraupes for the program *Lectures pour tous*, regretting that Desgraupes had not read his book before the interview, which, in his view, explains “the lack of interest in the questions—and in the answers, of course.” Finally, he expresses his hope to see his correspondent again soon, while regretting that his theater commitments are forcing him to stay in town for a month. Card accompanied by a complete typewritten transcription of the text. Condition: very good condition. Slight signs of handling and a faint central crease. Transcription included.
