Pierre Mille.” This letter attests to Pierre Mille’s journalistic activity in the late 1920s. It illustrates his working method: before writing a profile for publication, he wanted to have photographs of his subject, underscoring the importance of visual material in the preparation of his articles. The letter also touches on the friendly relationships between writers, journalists, and magazine editors, as editorial lunches were an important part of Parisian intellectual life at the time.
