MEYER (Jacques) - Lot 225
MEYER (Jacques) Letter to Vignaud. No place, no date [around the end of the 19th century]. 1 page, in-8. An interesting letter addressed to Vignaud, concerning correspondence entrusted to him by Mr. Debruyn. Meyer announces that he will soon make available to his correspondent a collection of letters that he considers “very interesting” and whose provenance he guarantees to be authentic. He also mentions a possible fee, while clarifying that he considers this to be of secondary importance, as the documentary value of the collection seems essential to him. A document illustrating the exchanges between scholars and collectors regarding manuscripts and autographs in the late 19th century. Condition: very good.
