BLANCHON (Édouard) (1867–1938). - Lot 55
BLANCHON (Édouard) (1867–1938). Signed autograph letter-card (C.L.A.S.), addressed to Paul d'Estrée, dated September 18, 1908, postmarked Saint-Quentin (Aisne), one page on a letter-card. An interesting letter addressed to Paul d'Estrée, in which Édouard Blanchon, a writer and literary critic, warmly thanks him for sending his publications. Away from Paris until early October, he announces that he will then review the new book his correspondent has just sent him and promises a thorough review. He notes that he has read one of Paul d’Estrée’s articles with interest and mentions his own research, devoted in particular to the “Zozquettes,” as well as to various topics related to literary history and bibliographic curiosities. Finally, he emphasizes his keen interest in the works published in *La Chronique*, whose quality and erudition he appreciates. Édouard Blanchon (1867–1938), a man of letters, journalist, and critic, contributed to numerous literary journals of the Belle Époque. He maintained an extensive correspondence with the leading bibliophiles, scholars, and historians of his time, including Paul d’Estrée. One page on a postcard, with the original stamp and postmarks preserved. In good condition.
