A strictly non-commercial edition reserved for friends of Imprimerie Union. This edition reproduces, in facsimile, eighteen engravings by Pierre Chaval, the renowned French cartoonist and engraver. The work was limited to 444 numbered copies; this one bears the number 146. A rare, private publication sought after by both Chaval enthusiasts and collectors of postwar illustrated books. The compositions, characterized by their graphic simplicity, reflect the artist’s poetic and dreamlike style. A fine copy.
