A reprint of the famous monograph devoted to the history of the town of Beaumes-de-Venise, originally published in the late 19th century by Abbé Allègre, a local historian whose works remain an indispensable source for the study of the Comtat Venaissin. This expanded edition includes a supplement written by Pierre Blachon, updating historical and archival knowledge regarding this Provençal town.
The book is illustrated with a frontispiece, several figures within the text, and fifteen separate glossy-paper inserts featuring reproductions of monuments, documents, and old views of Beaumes-de-Venise.
