An educational catalog or portfolio dedicated to Michelangelo’s frescoes in the Sistine Chapel.
The copy shown here clearly comes from the former library of the École des Beaux-Arts in Marseille, as evidenced by the institutional stamps. It contains large-format photographic reproductions of the various scenes on the vault, intended for the academic study of this Italian Renaissance masterpiece.
Despite its iconographic interest, the presence of the stamps and its condition from use limit its value.
