ONNEMÈRE, Eugène - Lot 116
ONNEMÈRE, Eugène Eugène Bonnemère B.A.S. "E. Bonnemère". Paris, 31 rue de Boulogne, May 14 [18]77. 1 page in-16 handwritten, signed. Interesting autograph letter addressed to a journalist or newspaper columnist, in which Eugène Bonnemère discusses the deposit of his new work at the headquarters of La Presse. The author explains that he inadvertently left a copy intended for another recipient: "I went to La Presse this morning to give you my new book...". A key figure in 19th-century republican and social journalism, Bonnemère was a lawyer, writer and contributor to the Bulletin du Mouvement Social. Involved with the Republicans during the 1870 war, he remains associated with Fourierist currents and the intellectual debates of the late Second Empire and early Third Republic. Beautiful letter with literary and journalistic content, written in legible cursive script and signed at the bottom of the page. Very good condition.
