ODDI, Silvio (1910-2001). Italian cardinal, Holy See diplomat, Prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy under John Paul II. Signed printed card. Christmas and New Year greeting card, "Natale 1985". In-12 oblong. Beautifully printed official card bearing the cardinalice arms, with typographed text in Italian: "Ringrazio per le cordiali espressioni di Buone Festività..." accompanied by a large autograph signature in blue ink: "+ Silvio card. Oddi". Also included: a Spanish greetings card from the Archbishop of Burgos for 1986, enriched with a signed autograph message; a Sacred Heart card with a long autograph message, signed and dated 1985. This set is representative of the ecclesiastical courtesy correspondence of the 1980s, combining Vatican diplomacy and popular devotion. Good condition.
