MEDICINE [MEDICINE]. - Diploma from the Société de Médecine de Caen. Diploma printed on vellum, ratified by the autograph signatures of President Lequerru and Secretary Lafosse, issued to Monsieur J. Ch. Dusoir, Doctor of Medicine. Caen, April 8, 1830. In-4 oblong on printed vellum, with large typographical frame and stamp of the Société de Médecine de Caen. The document certifies that: "La Société de Médecine de Caen, dans sa séance du 6 avril 1830, a admis au nombre de ses associés correspondants Monsieur J. Ch. Dusoir, Doctor of Medicine. A fine official document from the first half of the 19th century, testifying to the organization of provincial learned societies under the Restoration and the July Monarchy. The diploma bears the autograph signatures of the Society's officers, as well as its figurative seal depicting Hygie. An elegant copy on vellum, with careful typographical decoration, preserved in its original large format. A few small marginal holes and traces of old folds, without affecting the text.
