GASTON LAGAFFE'S INVENTIONS (HACHETTE) - Lot 278
GASTON LAGAFFE'S INVENTIONS (HACHETTE)
N°9: Plastic Floor Wax (Monsieur De Mesmaeker)
Inspired by the universe created by : André Franquin.
Collector's figurine in resin and plastic, from the official Hachette collection, featuring the famous and irascible businessman Aimé De Mesmaeker, victim of yet another Gaston gaffe. The statuette perfectly captures the dynamism of Franquin's drawing, showing De Mesmaeker skidding uncontrollably on a floor made ultra-slippery by the famous experimental wax. He is shown wearing his blue suit, glasses on his nose, briefcase under his arm and holding his precious contracts in his hand. The figurine rests on a textured base with a gold plate engraved "WAX FOR PLASTIC FLOORS".
Characteristics and contents of the lot:
Status: Brand new in original sealed packaging (original plastic over-blister intact).
Components included: * Monsieur De Mesmaeker figurine in full flight on its engraved base.
The exclusive documentary booklet n°9 inserted at the back.
Condition:
Figure: mint condition. The model is ideally protected in its original transparent thermoformed hard shell. The details of the contract leaves, the facial expressions and the painting of the blue costume are absolutely fresh.
Packaging / Booklet: The set is preserved fully sealed in its original protective bag. The large yellow cardboard backing is in very good condition, clean and flat, with no major creases.
A superb, dynamic piece that perfectly illustrates the series' running gag of never-signed contracts.
