GASTON LAGAFFE'S INVENTIONS (HACHETTE) N°6: The Cache-nez Inspired by the universe created by : André Franquin. Collector's figurine in resin and plastic, from the official Hachette collection, reproducing in volume one of Gaston Lagaffe's famous wacky inventions: the giant red muffler/nose warmer system, knitted and mounted on a frame to face the harsh winters. The statuette is packed with detail, depicting Gaston from the back wearing his iconic beige duffle coat, blue jeans, sneakers and the imposing red device enveloping his head. The figurine is presented on a textured black display base imitating a paving stone, adorned with a gold plaque engraved "CACHE-NEZ". Characteristics and contents of the lot: Status: Brand new in original sealed packaging (original plastic over-blister intact). Components included: * Gaston figurine and his invention on engraved base. The exclusive documentary booklet n°6 inserted at the back, including a special file on Jean Van Hamme. Condition: Figure: mint condition. The model is ideally protected in its original transparent thermoformed shell. The colors (the bright red of the muffler, the blue of the espadrilles), the knit textures and the sculpting, faithful to Franquin's line, are impeccable. Packaging / Booklet: The set is preserved fully sealed in its original protective bag. The large yellow cardboard backing is very well preserved, remaining clean and flat, with no major creases or chips. A very fine collector's item. A humorous and poetic piece, a must-have for any fan of the world of Franco-Belgian comics' famous goofball.
