SPIROU - Journal album, n°72 Dupuis, summer 1959. Large in-4 hardback, red cloth spine, first cover illustrated in color. A very handsome early collection from Journal Spirou, corresponding to issue no. 72, bringing together the issues published in 1959, at the height of Franquin's classic period. The particularly spectacular cover depicts a futuristic red flying machine carrying the characters over the Château de Champignac, with the caption: "We'll meet again, Champignac! This composition, typical of the series' scientific and adventurous imagination, belongs to the most seductive covers of the Dupuis collections of the late 1950s. Issue no. 72 is clearly identified on the specialized market as the 1959 edition.
