SPIROU - Journal album, n°67 - Lot 96
SPIROU - Journal album, n°67 Dupuis, 1958. Large in-4 hardback, red cloth spine, first cover illustrated in color. A very handsome early collection from Journal Spirou, corresponding to number 67 of the famous series of bound albums published by Dupuis. This volume includes issues no. 1050 to 1059, published in 1958, at the height of the Marcinelle school's editorial excellence. It brings together the great names of Dupuis: Franquin, Morris, Peyo, Will and Roba, in a period that is particularly sought-after by collectors. The particularly attractive cover features the Comte de Champignac, Spirou, Fantasio and the Marsupilami, in an interior scene immediately recognizable to Franquin fans. The cartouche "Il y a un mystère à Champignac!" (There's a mystery in Champignac!) further enhances the iconographic appeal of the volume, which is highly representative of the Spirou & Fantasio universe of the late 1950s.
